What better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Weekend than with rugby, live music, and new draft beers at The Courtyard Ale House, Sunnyside’s premier sports and craft beer pub! The 2013 Six Nations championship game between Wales and England happens this Saturday, March 16th @ 1 PM. Wales has the hometown advantage in a rugby-frenzied Cardiff, but the team has been defeated at home now five times in a row (against Argentina, Samoa, New Zealand, Australia, and Ireland). And England has a lot to prove. If they win, it’ll be their first Grand Slam in a decade, and they get to take the title away from Wales, last year’s winners.
Saturday night we’ll also have live music @ 8:30 PM and a full lineup of new draft beers, including Peak Organic Simcoe Spring Ale, Founders All Day IPA, Founders Red Rye P.A., Founders Backwoods Bastard, Founders Breakfast Stout, Singlecut “Dean” Mahogany Ale, and Gaffel Kölsch.
And if you happen to be at the NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade during the day on Saturday, make sure to stop by our sister bar Brickyard Gastropub on 9th Ave., between 52nd & 53rd, for drinks, food, and a spot to relax in the midst of all the city’s festivities.
